The only things I ever use Siri for are "Name that tune", "call this person", "play music", "play song" so I'm not entirely sure what makes Siri so bad that you hate her so much. Just based on my own personal experience with the things I named above she works about 99.9% of the time without a hitch. I've used Android devices before from Samsung and the assistant on their devices would more often than not have no idea what I was asking of them. I'd ask it to play so-and-so song and it would say it couldn't find it in my library even though it was clearly there.

Considering total cost of ownership, I believe iPhone is the more pragmatic choice. Apple supports their devices for 4-5 years, Android devices, outside of Pixels, are 1 to 2 years. If the average consumer needs support, especially person to person, the only choice is Apple.
iMessage and Facetime are better implementations than 3rd party applications. As a cross platform user, I attempted to convince my family to use Whatsapp and Duo, but it's a mess. Facetime and iMessage just work, and across multiple devices.
I think you need to consider the fact you are an outlier on software. You're OCD where the average consumer doesn't notice. That said, your correct in Apple's lack of focus tightening up their software, but iOS 12 is a first step back.

My friend I have both platform and I use google foto in my iPhone too since that way I have everything ready in my Android phone but I definitely prefer Apple and is insane the amount of quality you lose in google storage and even with a Pixel they only give you 2 year of full quality

Smartphone implies the abilities of the device not the ability to make the owner smarter by owning it. I use siri a lot daily and she works 99% of the time so I can't imagine what you are using her for that would make you have a negative opinion.

I could obviously read that Prime Video was possible in Denmark, but they forgot to mention is doesn't work on Fire TV.. Like omfg it's just a 1kb update to make it possible.

To me the biggest difference is Samsung give people what they want and still want but Apple sells what they think you want. Regarding milk probably because Canadians sell chocolate milk right next to ordinary milk.

Why choose one when you can have both? I have both the Pixel 2XL and the iPhone 8 Plus. Both ecosystems are fantastic for me. I use Google services on both phones, however, the only thing keeping me tied to primarily to Apple is iMessage and FaceTime. I use my Pixel as a backup.
At the end of the day, these are communication devices and it’s best to choose the device that suits your communication demands. If everyone you know uses iOS, guess which one you need to use.

Google + leaked most iof the user data due to security flaw..'s privacy change (March 1, 2012) enables the company to share data across a wide variety of services. These embedded services include millions of third-party websites that use Adsense and Analytics...a very good article to read on policy differences between apple and google... you are a nerd, or a person with common sense, it's easy to understand that if you suck more user data to your servers for playing around, you can make your AI better..this explains why Siri sucks..not because apple doesn't have skilled engineers or fund to develop a better assistant..they just don't have stuff like your last activity, search results, photos, browsing preferences, etc etc from the time you started using smart phone.

I don't understand why people are so hyped about the call screening feature on the Pixel 3. If you don't wanna answer a phone call but wanna hear what they have to say, isn't that what voicemail is for? I mean it's pretty cool but I just think it's over hyped.

We're starting to see a shifting in the climate here. For instance, Google is really rolling their dice with their whole Pixel line. A lot of the European (Nokia) and LG, Huawei, Samsung are not liking how Android is being showcased through Pixel as its flagship. News outlets are already reporting that because of the European antitrust laws, they're forcing Android to allow other apps to compete with their Android main apps in Europe. Maybe Google should have played nicer with the OEM's like Nokia/Samsung/Huawei, etc. because they could leave Android if they feel like Pixel is more optimized for Android and has an advantage. Or at least stop using the Google native apps specifically. I hope Google can figure things out, because it's like they're trying to be Apple with Pixel, but at the same time, they're not Apple and cannot be, because they have to deal with creating an OS that's open-sourced like Android.
Also, Google search engine/store is banned in China (yeah). It's really weird how they're gonna deal with their international holdings, and it's partially because they are on the one hand providing Android and on the other hand competing with Pixel.
Also, it's interesting to see how Amazon might come out. Imagine if Amazon decided get in on this. With Whole Foods stores everywhere, they have the ability to launch and provide services for people and could get into the phone industry.
The reason why these antitrust laws in Europe matter is because now, Samsung can release an Amazon Fire OS in Europe with Google apps. It could change the dynamics of things. That could lead to an eventual Amazon Fire OS to become a standard.
I love Google, so obviously I'd want them to succeed and come out winning through all of this. On other news, Jeff Bezos says eventually there will be a trillion humans living in space! Come on Chris! That's a trillion members that will be watching TLDR... in SPACE!!!

iOS for sure if you didn’t want your data sold. Use iOS and use the product. Use Android and you are the product. Literally using it will give them everything you do with your phone and more. Literally on Android google maps app is sending your location even if you don’t use the app or the phone. And it is impossible to forbid it for doing that on Android. So yea, I prefer using a product rather than being one. Also you can very easily use google apps on ios forbid them from collecting your data.

As much as I disliked Apple, it's important that they continue to push the market. No matter how much I love my Pixel 2 and the Android iOS, Apple has a reputation of aluring the tech market when they do something. Whether it's the notch or the nfc reader support. Galaxy phones had it way before iPhones did, but Apple featuring Apple Pay pushed retailers to support it more. Apple changes things in the market for better or worse. My only hope is that they can figure out that they have a problem in software. They need an intervention quick.

I switched from a note8. Kind of suprised how much I love this iPhone. Seriously it's impressive how much faceID works in iOS12 and notifications now. Seriously all that crap was fixed from iOS11. Airdrop is amazing. While the phone is boring compared to the feature crap on android - but it just works. Hasn't crashed once. Hasn't had any issues. When I was trying to record a long form video on my note 8 last year it consistantly crashed. My friend's pixel's also crashed after say 5 mins of video - was my daughters school ceremony. After that I decided to try iOS. I have to say I really like it. I think Android users primarily don't install apps beyond facebook and it appears it's either for technologist or people who want a good cheap phone.
WHen it comes to who uses photos better. To me you're forgetting facebook. Google Photos does a pretty shitty job service side. I'm not able to use Google Assistant as my name is too common. Literally having a common name I get everyone elses photos in my google photos, my google assistant thinks I have plain trips for not me. I see random kids report card alerts, other peoples photos, other people's emails... I don't know what i can do to fix this. Google's support has been essentially non-existent. I even removed my company off G-Suite because of this. Granted all of this without Google iOS would kind of suck.

I had a shitty experience with Google myself. I switched phones in June, forgot my password to my Google account, tried using their website to reset it and it didn't recognize me. I called, got an automated voice. Told it after many menus what my problem is. It told me to use the website. Got the run around with the machine so finally after an hour I lied to it saying I am having trouble with another product and needed tech support. Got a guy who spoke little English. He told me my account got hacked. Told him it wasn't hacked, explained the situation and he asked me questions I knew. He verified my identity but told me I had to shell out $250 to get my password reset. Told him to forget about it (wanted to cuss at him but I restrained myself). I lost years of stuff. I lost my password for ITunes because I didn't use it in years (now that I have an IPhone, which I am much happier with than I ever was with Android) I contacted them to reset my password. No problems what so ever and it was free. Only Google service I use now is IRvideo. I don't use Chrome, Google Search, or Google Maps anymore. I will never go back to them, ever again.

Have you ever tried reaching out to Google for assistance on a matter? I had an extremely important project backed up to my Google Drive for work and I accidentally deleted it from my drive and two days beforehand, absent mindedly cleared out my Gmail on a whim just to clean it up losing the backup in my email. I was sure I was screwed. Then I looked in the Drive app and there's an option for assistance. I connected to a Google rep in less than a minute and she restored both my Gmail and deleted Drive files to its previous state, saving my ass. This all happened over a span of 5 minutes max. Apple has good customer service, but Google is severely underrated because people don't think to reach out to them. Their CS is amazing. You know who world class terrible customer service? Samsung. It's almost embarrassing how bad it is.

I just left my S8+ for an iPhone because this is my third Android that slows down after 8 months. Now they are saying they are having problems with the note 9 camera lag. Of course, nobody is saying anything about that. I really don’t know why android doesn’t get their crap together and get a unified system. That would be the game changer. It’s a pain to try to get others to get the same app just do do what Imessenger does built in when I was using android. Even with those they still use sms so the videos and pictures are so compressed that videos are almost unwatchable. Also it’s a pain with a locked system but with that locked system I can do more with apple when using their products than I could with my android. No matter how I tried, they didn’t have anything to offer like apple does no matter what you had the money to buy. Android tried but it’s just not as good. What happened to the pixel buds, google tv, android tablets? All failed when apple literally succeeded They don’t offer anything like Apple TV. Androids products are all out for themselves and fail to try to get a unified system. You don’t want to be the only one you text that is not on iMessage in groups.
Try giving an android to a teenager. No teenager, you know the ones who are on the forefront of technology, wants an android. Snapchat sucks (look it up), non existent FaceTime unless everyone downloads the same app. They live in iMessage, Snapchat and FaceTime with their group messages and non compressed pics and videos. This is what the ones said that I am around with my sons friends. They said the only people who have androids in their school is because their iPhone cracked or got wet so their parents bought them a cheaper android. It’s like apple is in competition with android but android is in competition with Apple and themselves. With that attitude, they will never be able to be the complete package because it’s like having 50 CEOs trying to control the direction of the company. Come on android, you can’t even get your software updates right ($1000 phone in a year old software). Android would be awesome if their strategy didn’t have as many directions as a spider web. As for the hate towards apple fanboys, what are you saying when you say you will never buy apple? I guess it means something different when you say the same thing. I don’t care which phone I use as long as I have a reliable phone that does everything that I want it too. I just got the watch and AirPods. Total game changer. But I guess that’s because apple people are dumb right? Also androids fan base whines more than anyone out there. You all get so sensitive if someone likes apple. You all think everybody else is dumb for not liking android. I am glad you all think you are really smarter than someone else because of a phone purchase. To be honest; you all sound like a person who never got invited to the party but complains how you didn’t want to go anyway. Btw, that last comment was from a friend who was reading comments left from another android vs apple Both phones fit whatever person seems fit but for me, I should have switched sooner instead of trying to “work” with android.

It's funny how all these justifications pan out to Android vs apple. That is like comparing apples to oranges. Stay on topic and compare Android vs iOS. That is why it's so obvious Apple is an overpriced status symbol that people clamor for. Stick to iOS if you can't admit you're not tech savvy. iOS definitely has some positive sides to it but many of those are a wash or can't compete since Nougat. Aside from iOS still having nice features and consistency many iOS users aren't bothered to learn just how much Android has to offer. Apple knows what you want? Really? Same ole springboard launcher in it's entirety. Opposite of innovation. Crashes? Bwahaha. Since I have been forced to use iPhone because of work my disdain for iPhone is worse than it's ever been. It cracks me up how many people say iMessages keeps you locked in. That's a lame excuse for I'm not bothered to use a mobile os to it's fullest. iOS users many excuses like that and that just invites apple to keep charging more and more every year because that logo just becomes more and more obvious to your peers. 'universal' serial bus and proprietary connector on the other side. I could consider retiring for all the times people have bothered me for a charger AND cable and I got a dollar each time they asked. Add another dollar when they tell me I need an iPhone so they can charge their battery which is overrated on all these battery life reviews. I have to contain myself all the times I've already heard people whining about the poor reception they are getting with the XS/Max. It is laughable Apple is complaining Qualcomm because they charge too much and that is part of the reason Apple discontinued the X. So consumers couldn't return the XS and get a usable phone from the X. a few years ago a friend of mine told me I need to learn how to read and went on to mention a bunch of biased apple websites. A person who told me iOS is so secure that it is ok to go to a website to jailbreak their phone. Networking 101. You should never use a website to exploit your phone for a jailbreak. But he was so confident in Apple's security there was no way I could be right. Eric Snowden and various intelligence agencies around the world laugh at how apple advertises iOS security. I've heard people defend iOS by saying the FBI couldn't get in their phone. iOS users will believe anything if it paints apple in a good light. Throttling anybody? How many fanboys really believe it was a measure implemented to preserve battery? That's ludicrous and there many other examples of Apple's engineering and QC to know that isn't true. Apple tried to paint themselves as green but their phones are still sealed, no expandablememory storage and outrageous price for memory upgrade. I bet 95% of the people that use and justify their laptops with apple logos have no need for the advantages those products do offer when it comes to content creation. And it is outrageously funny the measures apple are taking to keep 3rd party repair shops out of their business model and many Apple fanboys think it is a great idea. It seems many of them want every piece of technology to have an Apple logo. Are you kidding me? When I see somebody walk into a Mexican restaurant with an iPhone X and get offered chips and salsa (remember, Mexican restaurant where chips and salsa are 99 times out of 100 complementray) and they ask do I have to pay for it it really just seals the deal that is a luxury status symbol for people who don't know and aren't bothered to learn about technology that is their future. Stable? I've had my note 9 since before launch and have only had a couple apps crash. I am on my 3rd work iPhone (all brand new btw first two were defective and my company made me suffer through it until it was not usable) and I've had many more minor issues pop up than I can count and I am running real lean as far as apps on my 7+ and I am still on 10.3.3. iOS 11 reminded me of Android pre kit Kat. And how come Apple still can't do Bluetooth right? I've had more issues with Bluetooth the last 2 years I've used iPhones that the entirety of my Android usage dating back to when the Nexus one first launched. I say this for myself but have witnessed many of my friends have experiences with iOS that have made them want to throw their iPhone out the window on a highway. I can confidently say many of those issues were Bluetooth or keyboard related. And privacy? Apple users sure do put a lot of faith into Apple's security, yet iOS, not to mention MacOS have had their share of some bad hiccups. It sure is funny seeing app developers talk about very specific statistics they know about their app users when Apple claims they're the privacy gurus and they keep as much info on the physical phone as possible. I've come across many security, IT and hackers claim the reason many companies choose iOS for their communication platform within and out the company because they have many tools to spy on their employees in many ways. I am pretty tech savvy but less so on the security and there are many things I have seen and a couple people I trust more than my opinion that Apple's claims are overloaded with BS. I am done ranting. Could write a book on how pathetic iOS is for a myriad of reasons but many X/MAX users won't see the little bit I wrote because Intel modems and severely poor reception.

Ok, we get it. You like apple, android sucks. I used to be you. Bought Apple's overpriced machines for years. I still have a maxed out 27" iMac and MacBook pro. But I won't buy another apple product. The well of ideas is gone for Apple. They are getting out innovated all over the place. Siri? Lol. And on the great customer support I have had a lot of really good experiences over the years. But the last time I went in to get the screen on my MacBook fixed (again) I showed them my power cord which had frayed at the end. I didn't do it on purpose lol. The refused to replace and it cost me $85. I've never been back. It's sad really, Apple used to be great.

One I read the entire post two put your grammar skills to the test and not be lazy or is typing on an iPhone to hard to add grammar to it. No I don't hate people for their choice I hate fanboys and from my experience with watching tech videos iSheeps or Apple fanboys are worse than Android fanboys but any fanboy is bad. I prefer Android for its freedom that iOS don't have and probably never will. So let's address those issues that you can't seem to find a solution for on Android shall we. 1. I've been using Android since 2012 now that slowing down thing was relevant then but not now I have an S8 Plus that I have to my brother it runs smooth and no lag plus it's over 1 year old now. 2. Want something to compete with iMessage try Facebook Messenger best part is it's available on both platforms. 3. Android tablets are still around I have the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 and it's superb I'd choose that over an iPad any day. If for some reason Android tablets die out fine I'll get the Microsoft Surface Pro as its still better than an iPad. Why freedom to make the device my device I don't have to have the same look as any other iPad out their same can be said with my S9 Plus it don't look like other phones like the iPhone's do. 4. Chromecast is better than Apple TV as I don't have to shell out extra money for that over the far better price on the chromecast of 35 bucks what is the Apple TV worth more than that. I also have an Xbox One that can do anything the Apple TV can do but better plus I can play games on it as well. 5. As for headphones I have the Samsung U Flex bluetooth Headphones which is far better than the overpriced hairdryers that are the AirPods. I call them hairdryers because that's what they look like to me if you like them that's ok I just don't care for them as they're overpriced I'd rather get a pair of Bose headphones for that price as they definitely kill Apple in better sound quality in my book. I know they have Beats but they emphasize bass and I'd rather have a pair of headphones like Bose as they are flat no emphasis on anything plus in my book they're better made to. 6. OMG the green bubble don't be afraid 😨 of the terrible green bubble! Seriously all the Apple fans need to get over that shit I'm a green bubble and I'm damn proud of it if you hate me because of that well I don't give a shit I'm not throwing my freedom over my phone for an Apple iPhone just to have a damn blue bubble. 7. Instagram is far better than snapchat and to be honest if snapchat would allow you to use pictures that you already took with the main camera then add effects on them it wouldn't be bad. The issue is that if you use snapchat on Android it uses their software on the camera not the default camera app that's built-in to the phone making it worse quality. Call it bad developers because that's what it is not an Android issue at all damn lazy developers. 8. FaceTime well I have 2 apps that you can get one built-in , one that you have to download. The built-in one is your phone app when I call someone if they have a supported phone and service you can use video call simple. For the downloaded one it's Google Duo best part about this app is that it's on both Android and iOS so you can even FaceTime across platforms easily. 9. iPhone cracked well it couldn't be because the iPhone is made of cheaper glass that Apple likes to put multi-sylable fancy words to make it sound better. I have dropped my phone from waist height without a case and it survived this was the S8 Plus that I dropped before I gave it to my brother. I've dropped my S9 Plus a few times with a Spigen case it hasn't cracked and the case is stimm fine to. 10. Leave it to an Apple user to point out updates like I haven't heard that one before. Well Project Treble will be an end to that argument and anyways like I've said 100 times if not more I'd rather wait a bit for my updates as the bugs and glitches will be worked out a bit more. So be proud of your instant updates for they may bring with them the ability to brick your device with a simple text or bring it it many other bugs and glitches. (iOS 11) I know you're on iOS 12 now but Apple's not been doing to great with quality checking just look at the new iPhone XS Max antennagate and the now fixed chargegate. Cool enjoy your reliable phone just don't drop it and break the back glass as you will pay out the ass to fix it. Plus if Apple has a fuck up you pay for it don't believe me check out Louis Rossmann on IRvideo and you'll see what I mean. Apple people ain't dumb per say maybe brainwashed into following a company that tells you lies and you believe them "You're holding it wrong" Steve Jobs. Look use what you want to I don't care everyone has their own preferences and those who are fanboys tend to use what they want plus make up lies to make said company look better. If you step back with an open mind you will see how brainwashed people are when it comes to Apple products plus look at their ads as well as their keynotes watch them with their fancy words as they talk about an existing technology as the try to make it seem like its new. Also they said that the iPhone XS is the first phone to allow you to adjust background blur after the photo has been taken. Really now Apple going for a big fat lie 🤥 what about the Note 8 that had this ability so you just omitted that info in the hopes that all your brainwashed Sheeple wouldn't know about it and be like wow look at that isn't the iPhone the greatest phone ever. Call me what you want I don't really care what you or anyone else here thinks of me so if you think you can hurt my feelings well sucks for you I sold them as who needs that shit. I'm not sensitive to people liking Apple like I said I don't care what you use. What party the new iPhone is out party go ahead go to that why would I want to go to a party about an overpriced underpowered phone anyway. Sure go ahead and spout off all those wonderful geekbench scores that mean absolutely nothing as those are paid. Say what you want also to defend geekbench and other benchmarking software it don't matter to me I prefer real world tests which no benchmarking software will do. I wouldn't go so far to say I'm smarter than anyone because of what I bought as that's subjective everyone has their preference. Work with Android maybe instead of doing that you should first understand how to use it and what apps to use to account for iPhone apps like iMessage and FaceTime. This is my view on your situation with Android I don't think you looked to hard to find alternatives to iMessage and FaceTime but that's my opinion feel free to argue back just try and use grammar and punctuation please it would make for an easier read thanks.

On point as always, your audio once again is an issue for me. Turn your head away from the mic and I lose you unless I max out the volume, turn your head back and I've got to lower it.

I'd love to buy Apple........just to chunk it out my car window at 100 mph.

In regards to photos, you know what I find hilarious? When swapping out peoples iPhone's in the genius bar (I overheard this in an interaction about a month ago while getting my mac looked at), they told the customer to download google photos to back their photos up before they wiped it for the swap.

Another thing I hate about Google, they push their products on other platforms and if they say no Google destroys them. Like with Nokia phones.

I prefer Android and will stay this way, Google Photos and Google Assistant are better than Apple Photos and Siri.
